Monetize enables our clients to create Advertisers in order to organize and group ad campaigns underneath each advertiser. This organizational feature is key to Monetize's other capabilities.
To get started, navigate to the Monetize ➡ Advertiser section and click on the Create button. You will then land on the "Create advertiser" page which lets you define several identifiers of your various Advertisers.
As you work through completing these fields you'll find that some of them are required. These are marked with a red *. Here is an explanation of each of the fields:
- Advertiser name: This should reflect the name of the advertiser. Be as descriptive as possible, as this will help you out in the future.
- Advertiser website: Enter the parent domain of the advertiser.
- Contact name and Contact email: These fields reflect the name and e-mail address of your advertiser.
- IAB categories: IAB stands for Interactive Advertising Bureau. For example, if the advertiser is Ford, the IAB category associated with it would be Automotive - IAB2. A full list of IAB categories is available here.
Once the advertiser is saved, it will show up when new ad campaigns are created. This is how you can assign the defined advertisers to each campaigns.
