You can add users to your Podcaster organization, assign their roles and permissions

SoundStack will set up your Podcaster Admins. Admins can view and add new users to Podcaster.

Only the red starred fields are required when setting up a new user, and these include:

  • Organization (will be prepopulated with the name of your organization)
  • Email
  • First name
  • Last name
  • User Type

NOTE: Setting up a password for a new user is not required at this time and the new user can create a password after they login to Podcaster.

When setting up a new user in Podcaster, you will need to select the relevant user type:

  • User - Users can only interact with shows they've been granted access to.
  • Admin - Admins can view and edit anything in the organization, including creating user accounts.

After you assign the user a role, you will need to select Show Admin or Show Editor based on the user's permissions across your shows.

NOTE: If the user is set up as an admin or super admin you do not need to select any shows in the Show Admin or Show Editor

If the account is set up as a User in Podcaster, that means this user will only work on specific shows, and you will need to select the shows where the user is an Admin or Editor. For shows where the user is a Show Admin, you don't need to select Show Editor as well.

Show Admins can upload, edit the show, and will have access to Insights for the shows they have been assigned. Show editors can see all episodes in an assigned show but are not able to modify existing shows. A Show Editor can edit an episode they upload. Show editors do not have access to Insights.

Once you select the new user preferences, click Save.

After adding the user, you will need to send the new account credentials to its owner. You can do this by sending an email that will include the login URL https://podcaster.soundstack.com/, the email address of the newly created account, and the password. In this email, you can optionally add some of our useful articles that could make the use of Podcaster easier for the user:

This concludes our introductory tutorial on adding users on Podcaster.
